Royco V2
Overview
Royco V2 is a more expressive and generalized overhaul of Royco V1 which allows Royco to deliver on its promise to “Incentivize Anything”. It achieves this by adopting a modular structure where new “Action Verifiers” can be connected to support new mechanisms of proving that a user is owed rewards, as well as new marketplace contracts for negotiating those rewards.
Use V2's flagship Action Verifier, the UMAMerkleChef, to distribute rewards based on offchain oracle queries, or define a new paradigm of reward distribution entirely — with Royco V2, distribute incentives any way you want, exactly the way you want them.
Why Use Royco V2
Efficient incentive spend — Only distribute incentives to users who opt into the campaign through Royco's app. This avoids wasting incentives on inelastic users, only raising yields for depositors who are actively seeking the highest yields through Royco.
Attract new liquidity — Enable deposits from Royco Vaults, guaranteeing new retail liquidity inflows deposits once yields are sufficient.
Publicly verifiable offhain queries — Instead of solely relying on a trusted centralized server, Royco V2 UMAMerkleChef queries are public and verified using the UMA Optimistic Oracle. This allows a decentralized network of verifiers to block incorrect or malicious reward query distributions.
Hyper customized — Leverage the ability to build your own reward distribtution exactly to your specifications. Giving you expressive choice over data sources, distribution styles, and eligibility criteria such as whether to reward users restaking your liquidity receipt token, or giving increased rewards to active positions. Build your dream distribution exactly how you want it.
Points support — Spin up points programs instead of distributing tokens, set points emissions caps, and use Royco APIs to easily query the points earned by each user.
Easy co-incentives — Easily permission other protocols to distribute tokens or points on top of your campaign.
Orderbook functionality — Cater to large LPs who want higher incentives or special treatment. Access the latent space of idle liquidity, receiving offers from depositors who wouldn't enter a market at the current terms, but would if they could receive more.
Criteria based orderbook — Define a threshold parameter for orderbook deals, allowing specific LPs to negotiate boosted rewards if they meet a criteria such as minimum deposit size, minimum time-in-force, minimum volume, etc.
